Setup

Master Monetization is an MCP server. Any client that speaks the protocol can connect — below are the two most common, plus what the tools actually do.

1Get a key

Sign in and create one from your account page. The key is shown once — only a hash of it is stored, so it cannot be displayed again. Lose it and you mint a new one.

2Connect your client

Claude Code
$ claude mcp add --transport http mastermonetization https://api.mastermonetization.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer mm_live_YOUR_KEY"
Claude Desktop — claude_desktop_config.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "mastermonetization": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y", "mcp-remote",
        "https://api.mastermonetization.com/mcp",
        "--header", "Authorization: Bearer mm_live_YOUR_KEY"
      ]
    }
  }
}

Desktop reaches HTTP servers through the mcp-remote bridge. Restart Desktop after editing the file.

3Ask for something

You do not need to name tools. Ask a real question and the client picks what to call.

“What does Master Monetization say about structuring a guarantee when the objection is effort rather than risk?”

What the tools do

get_skill(topic)

Returns the field manual for a topic — the decision rules, capped small enough to load whenever it is relevant.

search(query)

Hybrid keyword search across everything your plan covers. Hits point at the section that matched, not the whole document.

read_note(slug, section)

Reads one document. Pass a heading to get a single section, or ask for the outline first — a mature Master is far too large to read whole.

list_documents()

The catalogue as your plan sees it. Documents outside your tier appear locked rather than hidden, so you always know what exists.

Getting good answers cheaply

A mature Master runs to hundreds of kilobytes. Reading it whole is slow and worse — the order below is how to stay fast and accurate.

  1. 1
    Orient

    Ask for a topic outline before reading. Headings with sizes cost almost nothing and tell you where the answer lives.

  2. 2
    Learn

    Read the field manual, then the Master sections it points at. This is the layer written to be read.

  3. 3
    Cite

    Use quote lookup to pull an exact quote with its timestamp. Never read a source document just to find a line.
